Tommy's Paint Pot
Tommy’s Paint Pot is a family-run, independent retailer of Benjamin Moore® paints. In-house experts provide customers with guidance and advice to help them find the colors they love.
Tommy’s Paint Pot wanted to move away from the template website Benjamin Moore was providing and use a custom-made website that better reflected their style and personality. They also wanted to create better engagement with their customers, both their regulars and new visitors.
We designed a bright, approachable website that makes use of the red-yellow-blue color triad from the Tommy’s logo as accent colors throughout. We coordinated a photo shoot of their Eugene location to capture and show off the friendly atmosphere that sets their showroom apart from others. To encourage customer engagement, we incorporated an events/promotions calendar and an e-newsletter. Subscribers (from in-store or online) receive monthly email updates when Tommy’s staff adds new content to the website’s calendar or newsletter. The best part of this feature is that the e-newsletter is distributed automatically. Tommy’s staff needs to add the content in only one place: their easy-to-use Squarespace website. From there, MailChimp detects any updates and sends an email campaign at the end of the month—but only if there is actually new content to share.
The site is built on Squarespace’s SEO-optimized web authoring platform. We tailored the framework to deliver our custom designs while maintaining Squarespace’s responsive functionality across all devices and user-friendly content management system.
